John Lynch on relocation vote: ‘Raiders fans, we’re open for business’

49ers general manager John Lynch

In case you haven’t heard, the Oakland Raiders received NFL owner approval to move to Las Vegas on Monday. Responding to this news, San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch wasted no time inviting Raiders fans to jump on board the Niner Express.

It’s a humorous, albeit insensitive take on what might be a very sensitive issue to Raiders fans in Northern California.

Though, we give Lynch props for taking advantage of his opportunity to lure in a fan base that could potentially be open to changing allegiance. After all, once the Raiders do move out of state, the 49ers will be the only NFL team in Northern California.

For what it’s worth, Raiders owner Mark Davis said recently that he thinks Raider Nation will embrace a move to Las Vegas. Obviously now his thoughts on the matter will be put to the test.
