Veteran defensive end William Hayes was traded to the Miami Dolphins after playing with the Los Angeles Rams for five seasons.

The trade consisted of bundling up Hayes and a seventh-round pick to the Dolphins in exchange for the Rams receiving a sixth-round pick in this year’s draft. It seemed to be a meager bounty to give up considering Hayes’ productivity during his tenure with the Rams.

Apparently Hayes also thinks he should have been worth more. He posted this hilarious video to his Instagram account on Thursday following the trade.

“Got traded today for a stapler and a coffee machine.”

While we are getting a good chuckle here, at least Hayes appears to be looking on the bright side. He said he will be looking forward to “sweet tea” and won’t miss the Los Angeles traffic.

Hayes was an original fourth-round pick by the Tennessee Titans in 2008. He turns 32 this May and has a total of 34.5 career sacks and 312 combined tackles. We wish him the best on his Florida adventures.
