According to Joel Thorman of Arrowhead Pride, Harris was a passenger that was pulled over in a traffic stop. He was found to be in possession of more than 35 grams of marijuana and arrested, though he cooperated with the highway patrol officer.
Originally an undrafted free agent out of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2013, Harris has appeared in 40 games since 2014 with the Chiefs, starting 23. He caught 17 passes for 123 yards and one touchdown last year. He’s set to enter the second year of a three-year contract with the Chiefs and has a base salary of $1 million this season.
This arrest will likely result in a suspension for the tight end.
