WATCH: Brooks Koepka snaps driver in half after bad shot

Brooks Koepka

Competing in the Honda Classic, Brooks Koepka lost his cool in a big way after a poor tee shot on the 11th hole Friday.

Already four-over par at the time, Koepka shanked his tee shot, then immediately took out his anger on the innocent driver, snapping it with his foot with no small amount of force.

Here’s a shot at the aftermath, with Koepka clinging to the club head with his right hand and the shaft with his left.

Koepka went on to bogey the hole and didn’t generate any positive momentum until the 18th hole, when he birdied the par-five. He finished the second round nine-over par, which was unsurprisingly well below the cut line of even par.

This isn’t the first move Koepka has pulled off that has turned into a viral sensation, either. Last year, he hit a ball that landed right on top of someone’s backpack (watch here).

Hopefully the next time around, he’ll have something to laugh about instead of the teeth-gnashing frustration that drove this latest moment of impulsivity.
