The Miami Dolphins are looking for an upgrade at the cornerback position. According to a report, Miami is looking for that upgrade via the trade market.
Finally: The word is the Dolphins are again thinking trade as a way to land a big-name corner. Stay tuned.

It makes sense. The Dolphins pass defense wasn’t necessarily bad in 2016, but it wasn’t great, either. Statistically, it ranked in the middle of the road in pretty much every category. It’s hard to have a truly elite defense when the pass defense is nothing more than mediocre.
In today’s NFL, a top corner is a necessity to be a true contender, as well. Miami has solid corners now, but no true shutdown guys.
Obviously, the trade market will dictate how much success the Dolphins have in pursuing this trade. But they’re entering the offseason with the right target in mind.
