Pierre Garcon sends Instagram message ahead of free agency: #YallHiring?

Pierre Garcon

Based on an Instagram message Pierre Garcon sent out Monday morning, it doesn’t appear he’s going to stay with the Washington Redskins in 2017.

The talented wide receiver is entering his 10th season as a pro and has spent the past five in Washington racking up some impressive stats on a yearly basis. He averaged 75 catches for 910 yards and just over four touchdowns per season, with his best campaign coming in 2013 when he led the NFL with 113 receptions.

This past season, Garcon continued to produce at a high level at the age of 30, catching 79 passes for 1,041 yards and three touchdowns.

He originally came over from Indianapolis via free agency after signing a five-year, $42.5 million contract.

It’s not surprising that Garcon appears to be moving on. And it must be pointed out that this might not necessarily be his decision. Washington has some big decisions to make this offseason, including whether to use the franchise tag on quarterback Kirk Cousins or give him a long term deal (more on that here) and whether to re-sign receiver DeSean Jackson.

Garcon appears to have plenty of gas left in his tank and will be a valuable addition to a team in need of help at receiver.
