New England Patriots quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is more popular than even Tom Brady in headlines as of late. There are multiple rumors swarming that the Patriots might be interesting in trading their fourth-year quarterback if the ransom offered in exchange was high enough.
Somebody keeping track of all of the latest bits and pieces of news surrounding Garopollo is his mother. From what the young quarterback had to say, it sounds like Mrs. Garoppolo isn’t missing a beat.
“My mom loves telling me the news updates, so she’s all over that stuff, but it’s been working really well,” Garoppolo told Adam Schefter on “Know Them From Adam” podcast. “She could be your assistant. She’s all over the place. Her and my dad on Twitter and stuff like that — I don’t even think they know how to tweet, but they always have something going on.”
That’s quite adorable. Over the past several weeks Garoppolo has been linked to the Cleveland Browns, and San Francisco 49ers. We also covered some more teams in which Garoppolo could be a fit.
At this time, head coach Bill Belichick and the Patriots don’t seem to be tipping their hand much as to what their plans are. This is very characteristic of the tight-lipped veteran coach.
We shall see what unfolds in the upcoming weeks. But it sounds like Garopollo might hear any potential breaking news first from very informed mother.
