Bears’ Kyle Long explains funny reason he prefers Obama White House over Trump

Kyle Long

You’ve got to love Chicago Bears’ offensive lineman Kyle Long, who’s (likely) nowhere near winning the Super Bowl with his current franchise. That doesn’t stop him from daydreaming about it on Twitter, though.

More specifically, Long went on a short Twitter spree about visiting (or not visiting) the White House as a Super Bowl Champion and how if he was to win a Super Bowl, he would only go visit the President’s house if Barack Obama was still residing in it.

And no, his reasons weren’t necessarily political.

Interestingly, Kyle Long’s brother Chris, who just won a Super Bowl with the New England Patriots, is one of five players who have said they will not attend the White House ceremony for their team (more on that here).

Obama was a notorious White House hoopster, but Long would have provided him with quite the one-on-one matchup checking in at 6-foot-6, 320 pounds. It’s also true that both Barack and now former first lady Michelle Obama definitely exuded a cool and “chill” factor, so it’s not hard to see why Long would want to hang out with them in the nation’s most prestigious residence.

The Bears will have to turn things around in order for Long to win a Super Bowl (he’s signed through 2021), but it’s worth noting that Obama is from Chicago, and it’s not like he’s constricted to the White House anymore.

He can probably find time to hang, and shoot hoops, with one of his bigger (literally) fans.
