Matthew Stafford set to become a father, laments ‘not as many naps’

Matthew Stafford

Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford’s season is officially done after the Lions lost badly to the Seattle Seahawks, 26-6, at CenturyLink Field on Saturday.

Some much-needed R and R is likely on Stafford’s agenda heading into the offseason. But, napping is something that Stafford is going to have to take advantage of while he still has his free time.

He made this comment when asked about becoming a new father.

“I’m assuming it’s going to be a big change. Not as many naps, which is disappointing, Stafford said, per Kyle Meinke of MLive Media Group.”

Stafford’s wife Kelly announced her pregnancy on Instagram back in November. The young couple will go from being childless to having two babies, because twins are on the schedule.

Here is Kelly practicing her two-baby holding technique.

The upcoming birth of their twins means Stafford best get his rest while he can. One baby means less naps for daddy. But, two is a an entirely different story.

No naps for you!

We wish Stafford the best in the meantime while he rests up for his newest family members and his 2017 season.
