Dak Prescott bought every Cowboys teammate Ugg slippers

NFL Dallas Cowboys Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott is beloved by the Dallas Cowboys and their fans, and it’s not hard to see why. The rookie quarterback has been a model citizen while leading his team to a record of 13-3 and the No. 1 seed in the NFC this year.

He turned down some lucrative marketing deals earlier this year to spend time with his grandma in Mississippi. He hasn’t done anything outside the realm of football to make headlines, unlike some of the young quarterbacks that have come into the league of late (cough, Johnny Manziel, cough, cough).

He’s also been spectacular on the field, completing 67.8 percent of his passes for 3,667 yards with 23 touchdowns and just four interceptions.

These are all reasons Prescott is well loved by his teammates, coaches and fans.

Now here’s another.

“Dak actually just walked by and asked me what style of headphones I want, he’s doing something with Beats headphones. He’s just that kind of kid,” Mark Sanchez told Kalyn Kahler of The MMQB. “He doesn’t know who I am on the phone with, he’s just like, What style do you want? This or that? What size, this or that? He got everybody on the team Ugg slippers, not like the ones you see girls wear with the yoga pants, but the real slippers. He is doing all the right things. He’s a good kid and I think that is why everybody wants to make big plays for him, because they see his dedication and how he cares about people and the game.”

This kid hasn’t looked like a rookie on the field all year. And it sure seems like he handles himself like a seasoned vet in the locker room as well. This is something Jerry Jones touched on this week when he said both Prescott and fellow rookie Ezekiel Elliott aren’t really rookies heading into the playoffs (more on that here).

Clearly, the ‘Boys struck gold when they landed Prescott in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. It’s going to be interesting to see how well he holds up to the pressure of taking on the Aaron Rodgers-led Green Bay Packers Sunday.

One thing we know for sure is that Prescott and the Cowboys will be walking away from the matchup in comfort wearing those Uggs.
