Texans cornerback Johnathan Joseph has two cracked ribs, bruised lung

Johnathan Joseph

The Houston Texans may be without top cornerback Johnathan Joseph for their huge Week 14 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.

Joseph is dealing with two cracked ribs and a bruised lung as a result of a play that occurred this past week against the Green Bay Packers.

That sounds extremely painful. Add in the fact that it took place on the Frozen Tundra (literally), and one can only imagine the pain Joseph is going through right now.

Unfortunately for the Texans, Joseph’s injury cost them dearly against Green Bay. Having to take Joseph’s place on the field, Charles James gave up a huge completion to Jordy Nelson in the fourth quarter that led directly to a Packers touchdown in what ended up being an eight-point win for the home team.

Now set to take on Indianapolis with first place in the AFC South on the line, it sure looks like the Texans will be without their top defensive back.

The perils of playing December football in Green Bay.
