Before joining the Los Angeles Angels and becoming the best baseball player in the world, Mike Trout was just a South Jersey boy. He hasn’t forgotten his roots.
The MLB superstar hooked all of the Nike-wearing members of his beloved Philadelphia Eagles up with some new shoes (H/T Zach Berman, The Philadelphia Inquirer).

Trout’s connection with the Eagles goes beyond just being a fan.
Berman noted that Trout and Philadelphia quarterback Carson Wentz went on a recent hunting trip. He also noted that Trout’s fiance — a big fan of Zach Ertz — has a signed jersey of the tight end. In addition to all this, Trout and Ertz took their significant others on a double-date when Ertz was in Arizona during spring training.
So, the two-time American League MVP clearly has a budding bromance with some players from his favorite football team.
Wentz also hooked all of his linemen up with custom shotguns for Christmas, which you can read about here. If any of those Nike-wearing Philadelphia players are linemen, they enjoyed quite a Christmas.
