Jeff Fisher wants ‘a chance to play the Rams’

Jeff Fisher

Former Los Angeles Rams head coach Jeff Fisher has often been derided for his subpar coaching ability, and for good reason.

That doesn’t stop him from wanting to coach, though, nor does it keep him from starting a miniature vendetta against the team that fired him for all the right reasons.

I want a chance to play the Rams,” Fisher tells FOX in an interview to be aired during Sunday’s pregame show.

The sound bite came when Fisher was asked to detail his “perfect scenario.”

Fisher also details, in third-person, the reason why Jeff Fisher was fired.

“He didn’t win enough games, and the organization has a much bigger picture,” Fisher said. “And I don’t think I was ever part of seeing the new stadium.”

In a classic move by Jeff Fisher, he gives an excuse for why he was fired from his job, one that deflects blame away from him and onto the organization.

Maybe one day Jeff will realize just how bad he truly is at his job, and accept it. Until then, he’ll putter around in the league as a coach, striving to break Dan Reeve’s record for most career losses — a record Jeff Fisher is one game away from achieving.
