Giants FB Nikita Whitlock says burglars left racist graffiti inside home

In a sad and unfortunate sign of the times New York Giants fullback Nikita Whitlock was apparently the victim of burglary and vandalism by followers of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK).

Whitlock, who is on injured reserve this season, told a local New York CBS affiliate that graffiti was spotted inside his home with hate-filled messages such as “Go Back to Africa” as well as a swastika.

The good news here is that everyone seems to be okay.

Hate crimes themselves have seen an uptick since the election of Donald Trump to the United States’ highest office back in November. In reality, this is just the latest example of racial tensions themselves continuing to boil over in this nation.

“It just re-establishes that no matter where you are, no matter who you are, this can happen to you,” Whitlock said. “It’s about to be 2017. Oppression, violence, racism, hatred, violence, there’s no need for that.”

As Whitlock noted, no one was home at the time of the break-in at his New Jersey home, the second time that this has happened since Thanksgiving.

In addition to being on injured reserve, the fullback is serving a 10-game suspension for violating the NFL’s policy against performance enhancing drugs.
