Dez Bryant tried to attend Cowboys quarterback meeting

Dez Bryant Dak Prescott

The Dallas Cowboys are now going to great lengths not to play Tony Romo. That took on an entirely new meaning on Monday night when wide receiver Dez Bryant threw a touchdown pass to tight end Jason Witten (watch here).

Now feeling good about his passing ability, Bryant apparently tried to sneak his way into a Cowboys quarterback meeting and is lobbying for more plays under center.

With Mark Sanchez acting as Dak Prescott’s backup in a meaningless Week 17 game against Philadelphia, no one would be terribly surprised if Bryant got his wish here. In fact, we can probably count one hand the amount of Cowboys fans excited to see Sanchez get some action. Hint, they probably all go by the last name of Sanchez.

Dallas heads into Week 17 tied with New England for the best record in the NFL at 13-2. It has clinched home-field advantage in the NFC Playoffs. So it really wouldn’t be too surprising to see the team go with some trick plays come Sunday afternoon.
