Bengals QB Andy Dalton secretly helping pay medical bills for children

Andy Dalton

The spirit of the holiday season has clearly reached Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton.

According to a video posted to Bleacher Report’s Facebook page (h/t WKRC in Cincinnati), Dalton and his wife Jordan — on behalf of the Andy and Jordan Dalton Foundation — work hard to help children’s hospitals.

Between Cincinnati and the Dalton’s native Fort Worth, they have helped to ease the burden of 73 families, created by paying the medical bills of their children. That includes paying the total amount of some bills.

The foundation itself has raised $2.1 million and helped over 2.5 million since its inception last year. Talk about a football player and his family attempting to use the riches they’ve earned to help other people.

Needless to say, Dalton is the Bengals’ nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award, which honors the volunteer and charity work of players around the NFL.

A big props to Mr. Dalton and his wife for this altruistic mentality.
