Adrian Peterson says he will play Sunday against Colts

Adrian Peterson

With a once-promising season on the verge of collapsing in Minnesota, the Vikings could use every ounce of help they can get against the Indianapolis Colts Sunday. That help will apparently be coming in the form of one of the greatest running backs to play in the NFL — Adrian Peterson.

Peterson had torn his right meniscus in the third quarter of the Vikings 17-14 win over the Green Bay Packers back on September 18th.

Adrian, a future Hall of Famer, has been the heart and soul of the Vikings offense since being drafted seventh overall in 2007.

In his absence this season, the Vikings run game has floundered, ranking last in the league in per game rushing yards. With his impending return to the Vikings roster, the team must make a decision on who to waive to free up a roster spot for the running back.
