NFL and New York Giants legend Lawrence Taylor could be looking at some significant jail time stemming from his DUI arrest on September 2, per TMZ.
Taylor was arrested after he crashed into a police cruiser and motor home while driving his Bentley under the influence of alcohol. He pleaded not guilty to the DUI charge, but since that time additional charges have been levied against him, per the report.
“…TMZ Sports has obtained court docs which show prosecutors have substituted the charge with 2 counts of “DUI causing or contributing to injury to person or property. Each count carries a max sentence of 1 year behind bars.”
Taylor is due in court next month, per the report.
This is not the first time Taylor has been in trouble with the law. Dating back the past couple of decades, he has been arrested for assault, soliciting a prostitute and evading taxes, among other things.
