For the first time since 1979, the Rams will be playing a home game at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. For the first time in over 20 years, the Rams will be playing a home game in Southern California.
Yes, Sunday promises to be filled with a ton of emotion for the players, coaches and a fan base that’s been waiting decades for this day.
Just to perfect the homecoming, the Rams announced on Thursday that they will be sporting their throwback uniforms.
It's 💙&💛 this Sunday! We'll wear our throwback uniforms for the home opener vs. Seattle! #SEAvsLA pic.twitter.com/Kts0VZhXfj

These are the same uniforms the Rams donned from 1973-1995, before their relocation to St. Louis. In reality, these unis are synonymous with Rams football in Los Angeles.
The Rams’ current uniforms were not introduced until their move to St. Louis back in 1995.
It’s definitely the right move for an organization that’s going to need its fan base to come out in droves while Inglewood’s City of Champions Stadium is being built.
For longtime Rams fans sporting Eric Dickerson and Jack Youngblood jerseys in the stands, it will be pretty awesome to see the modern Rams wearing the same uniforms.
