After moving next year’s All-Star game from Charlotte amid increased opposition to the controversial House Bill 2 legislation in North Carolina, the NBA has reportedly decided it will take place in New Orleans.

This shouldn’t be considered too much of a surprise. New Orleans was mentioned as one of the possibilities for the event once the NBA decided to take a stand in favor of the LGBT community.
Though, some have openly wondered whether the Association should have moved the All-Star game to Orlando as a show of support for that community following the terrorist attack at the Pulse Nightclub back in June.
The game was originally moved from North Carolina following widespread backlash over a piece of legislation that specifically requires the transgender population to use restrooms in public buildings that match the sex on their birth certificate.
