Attempting to make a messy situation disappear before it gets worse, Dez Bryant will reportedly attempt to settle a lawsuit with Texas state senator Royce West.

West was reportedly seeking between $100,000-$200,000 in the lawsuit, which was filed in June, for damages incurred in a home he rented out to Bryant.

“West discovered the 6,400-square-foot home ‘littered with trash and feces, missing blinds and shutters, with cracked windows and blackened carpeting’ after Bryant moved out in January, and his lawyers say Bryant refuses to accept responsibility for the damage,” wrote Tom Steele of Dallas News.

West allegedly shelled out more than $60,000 of his own money to repair the damage to his home, which Bryant allegedly refused to pay at the time the lawsuit was filed.

Bryant and West know one another well, with the latter being involved in mentoring the young Dallas Cowboys star receiver, along with a group of others.
