Report: Bucks re-sign Miles Plumlee to four-year, $52 million deal

With more than $15 million to spend under the cap and no one of substance willing to join the team, the Milwaukee Bucks have made the curious decision to re-sign reserve big man Miles Plumlee to a four-year $52 million deal.

Plumlee has not received a ton of play on the restricted free-agent market. And for good reason.

The 27-year-old big man averaged just 5.1 points and 3.8 rebounds in 14 minutes of action for the Bucks last season. His best season came with the Phoenix Suns back in 2013-14 when he put up an average of 8.1 points and 7.8 boards per game.

Considering Milwaukee already boasts a roster with four players that stand 6-foot-11 or taller, it remains to be seen where Plumlee fits into the equation.

Though, numerous reports over the past several months have suggested that Greg Monroe is on the trade block.

Still, paying someone of Plumlee’s ilk over $10 million per season seems to be a bit of a reach.
