Rams sent emails hawking hats to old ticket holders in St. Louis

Talk about sticking a knife in and twisting the sucker. After abandoning their loyal fans in St. Louis, the Los Angeles Rams mistakenly sent an email hawking Rams hats to old season ticket holders in their former city.

Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch provided the details on this faux pas. The email blast included this message:

“Limited Time. Free Shipping over $40” read the email. “Rams sideline headwear worn by the players and coaches during the 2016 season.”

No doubt, this must have felt like a gut punch to fans who were abandoned by the club just a handful of months ago.

“When I got this email, I thought at first someone was playing a sick joke on me,” said Joseph Nassif of Creve Coeur. “When I realized it was from the Rams, I was shocked.”

No joke. Just a huge mistake.

Another fan wasn’t so nice about their response.

“Please tell Kevin Demoff where he can place his hat,” said one fan.

Needless to say, a fan base that already feels scorned didn’t need this extra bit of motivation to root against their former team for the upcoming season.

Perhaps this will help the Kansas City Chiefs earn some new fans now that they’re marketing themselves in St. Louis.
