Odell Beckham Jr. works out at 3 a.m. after NFL Top 100 ranking revealed

Odell Beckham Jr. is one of many NFL players who has a lot to prove in a contract year

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. wasn’t pleased with being No. 10 on the NFL Top 100 list, so he felt a 3 a.m. workout session was in order.

“They don’t want it like I want it,” OBJ told his Instagram followers. “They say top 10,” Beckham said. “Ten. I say, it’s not good enough. I’ve got to do more.”

Playing with a chip on your shoulder is a phrase that’s been around for a long time. Many have good reason to carry that chip around with them for their entire career, but in this case Beckham Jr. is sort of creating his own chip.

A first-round pick out of LSU in 2014 (No. 12 overall), he’s done nothing but impress since joining the Giants. In his first two seasons, OBJ has caught 187 passes for 2,755 yards and 25 touchdowns — just under one touchdown per game, as he’s appeared in 26 games.

A tireless worker who hasn’t stopped bettering himself on the field, his latest self-improvement efforts includes training to make himself ambidextrous (more on that here).

Based on his drive and the work he puts in, we should expect nothing but greatness from Beckham Jr. this upcoming season.
