WATCH: Draymond Green playing football at Michigan State

Draymond Green

After watching this video of Golden State Warriors All-Star Draymond Green attempting to play football, I think we can all agree that he chose the right career path.

It came during Michigan State’s spring game back in 2011, and it wasn’t necessarily pretty for the current NBA forward.

The first play shows Green jumping off-sides about five full seconds before the ball was snapped. Yeah, that’s not necessarily a good thing for a tight end (or any football player).

Then, on the second play, Green’s push off the line against a smallish defensive back was about as disturbingly bad as it gets.

One thing is clear here. Green’s ability to trash talk was apparent even back in 2011. If you check out the end of the video, you’ll see him getting into it with a member of the Spartan defense. Though, we can assume that was a bit less serious than what caused him to be suspended for Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

Green and his Warriors will look to earn their second consecutive NBA championship Thursday against the Cavaliers. In this, we can all safely conclude he chose the right sport.
