Report: Nelson Agholor sexual assault allegations came after financial dispute

Nelson Agholor is being accused of sexually assaulting a dancer at the Cheerleaders Gentlemen’s Club in Philadelphia. However, after the accusation had been made, further details have emerged that could end up exonerating him.

The 27-year-old dancer accusing Agholor of sexual assault reportedly did so after a dispute over money.

“The source told NJ Advance Media that Agholor and a dancer at Cheerleaders Gentlemen’s Club in South Philadelphia agreed to go to a private room for an hour on Thursday afternoon, but the dancer left shortly after the two entered the room,” writes Elliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com. “The person with knowledge of the incident said Agholor had agreed to pay the woman $1,400 for their time in the private room, but the dancer left before the agreed upon time and Agholor paid her $800. The person said the dancer wanted the full amount.”

This falls in line with what Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News reported shortly after the allegations became public.

Furthermore, per Shorr-Parks, other dancers at the club told their manager that Agholor did nothing wrong.

The Police are investigating the allegations and the Eagles have been informed as well, though they have declined to comment other than to simply acknowledge they have been informed.

Agholor is entering his second year in the NFL after being a first-round pick in 2015 (No. 20 overall). He caught 23 passes for 283 yards and a touchdown last year for the Eagles as a rookie.
