Oklahoma CB Jordan Thomas arrested on multiple charges

Oklahoma cornerback Jordan Thomas, a second-team All Big 12 performer as a sophomore a season ago, is in some major hot water off the field.

The star defensive back was arrested on charges of assault and battery, public intoxication and interference stemming from an incident early Thursday morning in Oklahoma.

There is no further information on the incident itself. Though, Thomas has been in trouble in the past. ESPN indicates that he was arrested last December for failure to appear in court for a traffic violation.

Thomas has also been suspended twice by the program for undisclosed violations of team rules.

According to The Tulsa World, the Oklahoma football program is aware of the charges brought against the former three-star recruit.

This could end up being a major blow for a Sooner team that earned a trip to the College Football Playoff last season — a run that was in no small part due to Thomas’ on-field performance. He recorded 46 tackles and five interceptions a season ago.
