Bryce Harper suspended for one game

Bryce Harper is one of the most annoying MLB players today

Washington Nationals superstar outfielder Bryce Harper has been suspended for one game for his actions on Monday against umpire Brian Knight.

Mark Zuckerman of NASN Sports quoted MLB’s senior vice president of standards and on-field operations, Joe Garagiola Jr., who said that Harper’s suspension is for “his actions following his ninth inning ejection, which included returning to the field.”

Harper was ejected from the dugout in the ninth inning when he argued a third strike called against teammate Danny Espinosa. Moments later, Clint Robinson won the game for the Nationals with a home run.

The Nationals players that came out onto the field to celebrate the walk-off home run included Harper, who continued the argument with the ump.

Harper will appeal the suspension.
