WATCH: Vin Scully tells us what GOAT means, and it’s amazing

Credit: Richard Mackson-USA TODAY Sports

Vin Scully, the legendary broadcaster of the Los Angeles Dodgers, took time on Opening Day to relate an anecdote to his audience in which he informed them what the acronym GOAT stands for.

Now, most of us are already aware that it stands for “greatest of all time,” but listening to Scully tell us why Michael Jordan isn’t actually a goat but is rather the greatest of all time will never get old.

As many are likely aware, Scully will be retiring at the end of the 2016 season.

Much beloved by Dodgers fans and respected by all, we’ll take every chance we can get to soak up his marvelous work. Perhaps he might not realize it, but Vin Scully is also the GOAT, and it’s going to be a sad day when he’s no longer the man behind the mic for the Dodgers.
