Stephen Curry is an unabashed Carolina Panthers fan, but it was still kind of surprising to see the Golden State Warriors star point guard lacing up Panthers-themed shoes Saturday.
Gearing up for his upcoming first-round matchup against the Houston Rockets, Curry was seen donning these sweet Under Armor kicks Saturday morning.

Curry and Cam Newton have developed a close relationship the past few years, and Curry even was on the scene to bang Carolina’s drum before Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara.

Unfortunately for the Panthers, their bid for the ultimate NFL prize fell short when Peyton Manning, Von Miller and the Denver Broncos came away from that final game victorious.
Hopefully for Curry and the Warriors, those colors won’t have a negative impact on their chances of repeating as NBA champs. Based on the team’s 73-win season and Curry’s record-smashing 402 three-pointers, that’s not likely to happen.
