The good news first. An MRI on Stephen Curry’s injured ankle conducted on Tuesday showed no structural damage after he missed the Golden State Warriors Game 2 outing against the Houston Rockets.
The bad news for those of you who love to be entertained watching NBA basketball. Curry is not too optimistic about his ability to play when the Warriors take on the Rockets in Game 3 on Thursday:

It will be telling to see if Curry goes through shoot around Thursday morning in Houston. If he doesn’t, that should give us an idea about how he feels.
While the reigning MVP is considered questionable and likely to be a game-time decision, the Warriors would be smart to rest him until he’s 100 percent heeled.
Golden State dominated an inferior Rockets squad in each of the first two games of the series, winning Monday with Curry out of action.
If the Warriors continue to handle Houston at the clip we have seen for the past two seasons (13-1 record), they might just decide to sit Curry for the remainder of the series.
What might make sense for the defending champs likely won’t be met with a ton of applause from the league office and those stations set to televise Game 3 on Thursday. Curry is a huge draw.
Without him, this series is simply one over-matched team getting embarrassed by a title contender. It’s something we have seen too often thus far in the postseason.
