Out with his wife and crew for some late-night pizza, Brock Osweiler found himself facing a situation that could have easily spiraled out of control. Thankfully the young gunslinger showed good judgement and kept a calm head in the heat of the moment.
The free agent quarterback found himself being heckled during his late-night pizza craving when things got a bit out of control, per TMZ.
“During the pizza run, we’re told Brock was heckled by another group — and things got heated. One woman tries to confront Brock’s wife and Brock uses a stiff arm to push her away. Brock then tries to gather his crew to get into a waiting car to leave the situation.
“But one of the men in the other party didn’t like that Brock made physical contact with his lady — and shoved Brock in the back hard … sending the QB flying toward the waiting car.”
Things could have easily gotten out of hand after Osweiler was shoved into the car. However, TMZ obtained video from the encounter (WARNING: NSFW language) in which Osweiler clearly did the right thing ordering everyone to simply get into the car and ignore the instigator.
Cops were called onto the scene, indicating the seriousness of this encounter, though nobody was charged.
With a bright future in front of him and everything to gain, the young quarterback saved himself some big trouble and likely a bunch of money in free agency. He’s been offered a three-year deal worth $39 million by the Denver Broncos, per the Denver Post, and will likely make more once he hits free agency.
Likely, a TMZ-publicized fight would have brought into question his judgement, which could have certainly cost him some serious money.
