Brandon Marshall and Matt Forte were teammates from 2012 through 2014 while playing with the Chicago Bears.

And now a signing of Forte to Marshall’s New York Jets will have the dynamic duo in action together once again. Excited to be reunited with Forte, Marshall posted this mushy, promotional picture message to his Instagram account.

I Wuv you!!!! @mforte22 #newyork follow your new WorkHorse

When Marshall appeared to have run out of gas a bit in his last season with the Bears in 2014, the team shipped him off in exchange for a late round pick in the 2015 draft. Considering the amazing year Marshall had with the Jets, recording 109 receptions for 1,502 yards and a career-high 14 touchdowns, that decision appears to have bitten the Bears in the behind.

Now Forte, coming from a slightly down season, arrives to New York to take on what we can presume will be the lead running back role. Should he find the success that Marshall did, then the Jets will definitely be winning by signing Chicago’s discards.

Overall, Forte posted amazing numbers while playing for eight seasons as a Bear, tallying a total of 12,718 yards and 64 touchdowns.
