WATCH: Stephen Curry gave shoes to kid for birthday after breaking 3-point record

Stephen Curry is a cold-blooded assassin on the court, but it was his huge heart that stood out Thursday night after scoring 51 points to help the Golden State Warriors take down the Orlando Magic.

A young Warriors fan was in attendance, and it was his birthday. He had no idea Curry would be breaking a record for most games in a row with a made three-pointer, and he couldn’t have known he was about to head home with a pair of game-worn sneakers.

Both things occurred Thursday night. After Curry moved past Kyle Korver and sunk a three in the first quarter to make it 128 games in a row, he walked off the court wearing socks and a smile.

It was quite the night in Orlando for Curry, the Warriors, winners of their 52nd game on the season, and one lucky birthday boy.

Curry is well on his way to finishing the season with another record. With another 10 made threes on Thursday night he now has 276 on the season, which is just 10 shy of his all-time single-season mark of 286 set last year.

And, if his Warriors continue rolling through the competition on a nightly basis, then the 72-win regular-season record, set by the Chicago Bulls in 1995-96, will fall as well.
