Jim Harbaugh is a rock star. The Michigan head coach maneuvered his way to landing the No. 5-ranked 2016 recruiting class, per 247 sports. Adding to his collection of top recruits, now he’s hauled in another in 4-star quarterback Dylan McCaffrey, brother of Stanford’s Christian McCaffrey and son of former NFL receiver Ed McCaffrey.
The 6-foot-5, 200-pound gun-slinger committed to Michigan, announcing his decision via his Twitter account on Monday night:
After much consideration, I am Very proud to announce I have committed to the University of Michigan! #GoBlue pic.twitter.com/spHPcFrQb5

McCaffrey is slated to join Harbaugh’s Wolverines in 2017, and given the track record of Harbaugh’s previous pupils at the University of San Diego and Stanford, he made a smart choice.
Not surprisingly, his big brother approves:
Congrats to the little bro @dcaf20 !! Committed to @umichfootball today!! Can't wait to see what the future has in store for you!

McCaffrey led Valor Christian High School to the Colorado Class 5A football championship this past season, throwing 27 touchdowns and just four interceptions.
