Ex-boxer and World Heavyweight Champion Mike Tyson, who is Muslim, is one who supports Presidential candidate Donald Trump and his proposed Muslim ban.

He also thinks it’s not a big deal that Trump is such a controversial figure right now.

“Hey listen, anybody that was ever President of the United States offended some group of people,” said Tyson per TMZSports.com.

“He deserves a chance.”

Trump has received major backlash from both Muslims and non-Muslims groups, along with many prominent athletes, since suggesting a plan that would ban Muslims from coming to the United States, in light of the most recent terrorist attacks.

Tyson, who endorsed Trump in October, pointed out that the billionaire mogul leads in the polls and that our current President Obama’s plans are no longer working. Therefore Tyson suggested that it is now time to “try something new.”

Tyson summed up his mini-interview by stating Trump is the “people’s choice.”
