Watch: Dolphins horrific kickoff return leads to safety in third straight game

Ryan Tannehill Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins allowed a safety for the third straight week, thanks in part to one of the worst kickoff returns you’ll ever see.

First, let’s get to the kickoff.

Already down 7-3 to the Philadelphia Eagles, receiver Damien Williams ran into his own man at the one-yard line after trying to take the return out of the end zone.

After setting up the ‘Fins at their own one-yard line, Williams gave way to quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who was oblivious to pressure in his own end zone and took a sack, which resulted in a safety. As we mentioned, it was the third straight game in which the Dolphins allowed a safety, further demonstrating the team’s ineptness on the 2015 season.

The Dolphins quickly surrendered another touchdown shortly afterwards to fall into an early 16-3 hole against the Eagles.
