The Minnesota Vikings arrived home Monday after a road win against Oakland to find a nice gift waiting for them in their locker room.

After assuming the lead in the NFC North with a record of 7-2 — the next opponent being the Green Bay Packers, who are one game behind at 6-3 — nothing was more appropriate than for the guys to come home to new black shirts with an NFC logo and “North” on the front. Though the message on the back was priceless. It read “Beat Green Bay!”

Commenting on the Vikings new duds, defensive tackle Linval Joseph also hyped the big upcoming game.

“Just walked in this morning and saw it. So it’s a nice shirt. This is a big week. Green Bay is a very good team. We just have to execute small ball and [improve to] 8-2. ”

In Week 11, the Vikings host the Packers at TCF Bank Stadium when Minnesota will look to improve their lead to two games. The players and the staff were spotted wearing the shirts around Winter Park on Monday to let the message soak in.

However, Brian Robinson said he didn’t need a shirt to be reminded of how important next week’s game is.

“Shirts are shirts. I don’t care about shirts. It’s about what we do on Sunday.”

Rookie Stefon Diggs also commented on his mindset regarding the upcoming game.

“Our record and what we’re doing right now, you can’t take a break and lighten up. You gotta continue to grind and grind even harder to be honest.”

With how sharply Minnesota has executed lately winning five games in a row, we can be sure Green Bay will be working on fixing the multiple issues that seem to have gone completely wrong over the past few games.

And, if the Detroit Lions found a way to beat the Packers, one would think that the Vikings could continue to shake things up in Week 11, giving Green Bay a legit run for the money.
