Report: Jahlil Okafor stopped for going 108 MPH

It’s not been a good week for Jahlil Okafor.

News broke Sunday morning that the Philadelphia 76ers rookie center was reportedly arrested for driving 108 miles per hour on the Ben Franklin Bridge about three weeks ago, per Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

This news comes just days after it was revealed Okafor had gotten into a street fight with hecklers. Per ESPN’s Jeff Goodman, the instigating person in that exchange said “The 76ers suck and you guys are all losers. You’ll never win a game,” according to a source close to Okafor. Additionally, he reportedly had a gun pointed to his head in an altercation with someone at a Philadelphia club.

As many are aware, the 76ers have yet to win this season (0-17). Okafor has played well at times but is clearly not completely focused on his team and the game of basketball. The young man needs to turn things around quickly, because we all know how quickly players can spiral out of control once the ball starts rolling in that direction.
