Philadelphia Eagles tackle Lane Johnson took a parting shot at Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy after his team handed the ‘Boys their sixth straight loss on Sunday night, 33-27, in overtime.

Johnson said, per the Dallas Morning News, that Hardy didn’t seem “all that emotional” during the game and that “he seemed out of it a little bit” after pictures of his battered ex-girlfriend came out last week, via Deadspin.

He also mentioned “anytime I got a chance to put a little extra mustard on a block, I tried,” giving away his disdain for Hardy.

He then followed it all up with the pièces de résistance:

“I felt like I faced better than him,” Johnson added. “He’s a guy who, when things are going good, he’s great. When things aren’t going good, he’ll shut it down.”

It’s worth mentioning Hardy did finish with a sack, two quarterback hits and three tackles working mostly against Johnson on the right side.

Many believe Hardy shouldn’t be playing. The Cowboys, led by owner Jerry Jones, have stood by the statement “we decided to give him a second chance.”

For his part, Hardy did finally show some contrition on Saturday via his Twitter account.

He also said he’s grateful for the opportunity to play in the NFL.

Many don’t think Hardy deserves one after what he did to his ex-girlfriend Nicole Holder, beating her black and blue, allegedly throwing her onto a bed covered in guns and threatening to kill her.

Given the visceral visual evidence uncovered by Deadspin, this is likely not the last time an opponent of Hardy’s makes comments like the ones uttered by Johnson. If anything, other players might not be so diplomatic.
