WATCH: Jay Cutler hits Matt Forte on broken play for game-winning TD

Jay Cutler

Jay Cutler showed incredible poise under pressure in the fourth quarter in Week 5 as the Chicago Bears battled the Kansas City Chiefs, and he saved his best for last.

With just 23 seconds left on the clock in the fourth quarter, Cutler hit Matt Forte in the back left portion of the end zone for the game-winning touchdown. The play almost never happened, however. Cutler, in the shotgun, didn’t get the handle on a poor snap, and the ball ended up at his feet.

Keeping his composure, the veteran calmly tossed a perfect pass to running back Matt Forte, who easily hauled in the game-winner.

After missing the two-point conversion, which would have put the Bears up by three, Chicago went up by a score of 18-17. This ended up being the final score after Kansas City failed to score in the waning seconds.

The victory moved Chicago to 2-3 on the season, while the Chiefs fell to 1-4.
