Seattle Seahawks worked out ‘really raw’ Terrelle Pryor at WR

Terrelle Pryor’s conversion from NFL quarterback to receiver has been a rough one. He most recently worked out with the Seattle Seahawks, but it might be presumptuous to assume he’ll find a home in the Pacific Northwest.

Head coach Pete Carroll said Pryor was “really raw” but did note his athleticism.

Seattle could certainly use the help at receiver — especially when it comes to stretching the field.

Doug Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse are the team’s two leading receivers, and neither is averaging more than 10.9 yards per reception. Tight end Jimmy Graham has started to catch on, but he isn’t a big vertical threat, either,

If Pryor were able to harness his athleticism and speed (sub-4.4 40-yard dash at his pro day), then there is no doubt he’d be a valuable asset to the Seahawks, or any other receiver-needy NFL team.

The Cleveland Browns, as many know, are the opposite of stacked at the receiver position. Pryor couldn’t make it on that roster, and at this time, though. It seems his ability to pick up the nuances of the position is keeping him from landing any permanent roster spot.
