Roddy White believes Julio Jones will have historic fantasy football season

Attention fantasy football players: Julio Jones is really good. Just in case you need more reason to draft the Atlanta Falcons wide receiver, well, his teammate Roddy White has a bold prediction worth paying attention to.

According to ESPN’s Vaughn McClure, White believes the 2015 season will be a special one for the Alabama product. White said of Jones:

“I don’t know what the fantasy records are, but more than likely he will surpass whatever records are out there. I mean, you’ve seen him the past few years. He’s on his ‘A’ game. He’s ready to play. He’s ready to go out there and do what he do week in and week out.”

White cited a change in Jones’ responsibilities as evidence for the potentially dominant season, saying the Falcons are planning to move the 26-year-old around in offensive formations so defensive coordinators cannot focus on eliminating one side of the field.

Jones, who set a franchise record with 1,593 receiving yards in 2014, has established himself as quarterback Matt Ryan’s favorite target. Jones added 104 receptions and six touchdowns in 15 games last season.

Atlanta will take on the Philadelphia Eagles during Monday Night Football. A combination of Byron Maxwell, Nolan Carroll and Walter Thurmond will challenge Jones, who should pass the test with flying colors—especially if he’s playing at the level White suggests.
