Chip Kelly released Tim Tebow on Saturday, but he still thinks the quarterback has a chance to make it in the NFL if he can get some more reps.
According to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Kelly believes the best place for Tebow to get those reps is in the CFL.
Chip Kelly told Tim Tebow that he should go get reps in the CFL and then he may look at him again, NFL source said.

Tebow played awfully well in the final preseason game for the Philadelphia Eagles, completing 11 of 17 passes for 189 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. It’s certainly worth nothing these reps cae against many players who didn’t make the New York Jets’ final roster, but Tebow did show signs of improvement throughout training camp for the Eagles.
Kelly came right out and said on Saturday that Tebow just wasn’t “good enough” to make the final roster as the third-string quarterback for the Eagles.
Perhaps with some more time and many, many more snaps behind center, Tebow could improve enough to become a competent passer in the NFL.
Of course, if Tebow couldn’t find a spot on a Kelly-coached roster, perhaps his time in the NFL really is over—this time for good.
