Jordan Spieth 2011 High School yearbook for sale on Ebay

You know you’re famous when your yearbook is being auctioned off on Ebay and the bidding starts at $299.95.

Jordan Spieth has entered superstardom this past year after winning two major championships, and now you can add him to the list of professional athletes who’ve had odd memorabilia of themselves sold on Ebay.

Ebay seller bighouseofstuff has a 2011 Jesuit College Preparatory School yearbook for sale, which features Spieth in all his high-school glory. Hilariously, the seller included this caption as a call to action:

“These will get tougher to find as he wins more Tournaments and MAJORS!!!”

The contents of the yearbook features five pictures of Spieth, along with a touching tribute to his family.

Of particular note is the portion of his tribute dedicated to his special-needs sister Ellie.

“Mom, thanks for everything you have done for me at Jesuit, especially telling me every night to go back and do my homework. I always told you I hated when you did that but the truth is I needed it. Dad, thank you for all your support and guidance with not only my golf, but also handling pretty much every situation I have ever been presented with. I know we had ups and downs, but I am blessed to have y’all as my parents and I love you so much. Steven, keep doing what you are doing. I love you, bro. Ellie, I know every day presents its fair share of struggles, but the fight that you show everyday inspires everyone who knows you. Spending each Wednesday with you this year has been a blessing and I love you. The Jesuit golf team and Coach Marino, I’ll never forget the practices, putt putt games, and trips (esp. California) that have created friendships for life. Blaine, you’ve been a great friend since we met in biology freshman year, and I’m looking forward to Austin. To Jesuit, it has been the best 4 years of my life and there is no other place I would have rather spent it.”

If that doesn’t warm your heart, then nothing will.

Spieth is clearly a grounded young man. We’ve seen him handle the stresses of high-level golf with maturity beyond his years during his recent run of fine play in major championships, but this takes it to another level.

So, if you’ve ever wanted to own a piece of history, appreciate heartfelt family messages and have $300 to spare, then you’re in luck with this bargain. Be aware: There is one person watching this auction, so watch out for the competition.
