ESPN’s SportsCenter trolls the Chiefs and Jeremy Maclin on Twitter

Jeremy Maclin

Jeremy Maclin has been one of the more dynamic receivers in the NFL for a few years, but through two-plus quarters of play on Monday Night Football against the Green Bay Packers, he was an invisible man.

ESPN’s SportsCenter Twitter account made a funny, highlighting this very fact.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith has always had trouble connecting with his receivers throughout the years, so many wondered why Maclin decided to sign with the franchise in free agency.

As if they were well aware of this diss, Maclin and Smith finally broke through in the third quarter with a couple of nice completions — one of which was a touchdown to break a streak of no touchdowns to receivers that had gone on for over a year.

The Chiefs touted a deep-passing attack in the works all summer long, but we hadn’t seen much of it so far. Perhaps now they will get the kinks worked out as the season progresses.
