Randy Moss: I’ll always stand behind Tom Brady

As the New England Patriots prepare for Week 2 of the NFL’s preseason schedule, yet another former teammate of Tom Brady’s has stepped up to the mic to stand up for the embattled quarterback.

Randy Moss showed up to practice on Thursday, met with his childhood hero Jerry West and then vocalized his support for his former quarterback, saying he will always stand behind Brady.

Moss also talked about how the Deflategate scandal has affected his good friend.

Tom is human. I’m not going to say it doesn’t affect him. It affects everyone in his circle. But we don’t talk about it,” per Jeff Darlington of NFL Network.

Interestingly enough, as Brady attempts to keep his focus on football, rather than the impending legal battle that is ahead of him and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, Moss says the game has “slowed down” for Brady, which makes him even more dangerous.

This should frighten opposing defenses that have New England on the schedule this year. Not only is Brady mad about the entire ordeal, but he’s apparently improved his focus on the field.

As for the suspension, the judge presiding over Brady’s case appears to be more inclined to rule in favor of the quarterback than uphold the NFL’s four-game suspension. According to the Associated Press, U.S. District Judge Richard M. Berman “warned a league lawyer during oral arguments in the scandal over underinflated footballs that there was precedent for judges to toss out penalties issued by arbitrators.”

This isn’t good news for the NFL.

On the flip side, it seems more and more likely that Brady is going to start all 16 games this season, and that the NFL is going to end up with a gigantic egg on its face.
