Kenneth Boatright Carted off field during Dallas Cowboys camp practice

Dallas Cowboys reserve defensive end Kenneth Boatright was carted off the practice field on Thursday evening.

Clarence Hill of the Star-Telegram reported it was a neck injury that was suffered by Boatright, who was taken directly into an ambulance from the field of play, as Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News relayed.

Thankfully Boatright was moving his legs, as Kevin Casas noted.

Here’s a video of Boatright being taken away on a stretcher, per Drew Davison of the Star-Telegram.

Boatright was a practice-squad player for Dallas last year until he was promoted to the active roster in December. He had been impressing the coaching staff and is considered an ascending talent.

Hopefully, everything that has happened since his injury is just precautionary. Neck injuries are terrifying and can wreck careers. We wish Boatright and his family the best during this time of uncertainty and worry.
