Prized Free Agent LaMarcus Aldridge Selling Portland Home

LaMarcus Aldridge is undoubtedly one of the NBA’s top two players who will be available in unrestricted free agency. A four-time All-Star, he’ll have several suitors lining up at his door on July 1.

But that door might not be located in Portland. Amy Schwartz of 750 The Game reports Aldridge has put his home on the market.

Now, just because Aldridge is selling his home doesn’t definitively mean he’s leaving the Trail Blazers. The power forward might be preparing to upgrade, no matter where he signs.

According to Basketball-Reference.com, Aldridge has earned $86 million during his nine-year career. This summer, he can demand a contract worth that much for four seasons if the 29-year-old heads elsewhere, let alone the $100 million-plus Aldridge will collect if he remains in Portland on a five-year deal.

Long short short, Aldridge is getting paid.

Along with the Blazers, the San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Mavericks, Boston Celtics, New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers should join the chase to claim Aldridge.
