Greyson Lambert, formerly the quarterback for the Virginia Cavaliers, has transferred to play for Mark Richt and the Georgia Bulldogs. ESPN’s Joe Schad broke the news:

Schad notes Lambert is a graduate transfer with two years of eligibility remaining. Since Lambert will attain his undergraduate degree, he can play immediately at Georgia.
Lambert started nine games for the Cavaliers last season, missing three due to an ankle injury sustained early in the year. The 6’5″, 235-pounder finished his sophomore campaign with 1,632 yards, 10 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
Hutson Mason graduated, leaving a vacancy under center that the Bulldogs can fill with Lambert, sophomore Brice Ramsey, junior Faton Bauta or freshman Jacob Park.
Lambert boasts the most experience of any signal-caller in the unit, considering Ramsey has attempted 39 passes, Bauta five and Park zero. However, Georgia fans shouldn’t get carried away with that idea, because Lambert certainly wasn’t impressive during his Virginia tenure.
According to Ryan Bartow of 247Sports, Lambert visited Florida and “heard from” four other schools—Colorado State, Fresno State, Purdue and South Alabama.
